Everyone was friendly. The place is warm and cosy. The room was clean and comfortable. Shower pressure was excellent. We specifically asked for a room with a balcony and that is what we got.

The room was quite spacious and had an excellent view. The bathroom was clean, and the shower had warm water all the time. I didn't get to use the spa, so if you are coming here, do bring a swimsuit.

Located in Guarda, 5.6 km from Guarda Castle, Quinta do Rio Noémi provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Terrific!! Don’t miss it. Lovely rural location, artful yet rustic lodging in a restored farmhouse, wonderful breakfast, exceptionally attentive and helpful host/owner. A most unique experience.

Perfect little gem with a great bistro for breakfast and dinner. Super friendly and helpful staff, free parking along the street, nice rooms and terrace with seating areas and pool. Very good choice!

Casa de São Lourenço - Burel Mountain Hotels sijaitsee Manteigasissa 12 km:n päässä Manteigasin kuumilta lähteiltä. The staff is super friendly. They try to do everything to please you and always with a smile. The breakfast has good variety and everything is fresh and it's replaced really quick and often. You can also do some special orders. We actually had some cake and asked if they could make us one to take home and they did. The rooms are big and the beds are super confortable. The view is beautiful and you can buy a picnic basket and go for a picnic at a beautiful place that they recommend. Overall I would really recommend, we loved it.

Just a 5-minute drive away from the city of Gouveia, in the slopes of Serra da Estrela Mountain, Madre De Água Hotel Rural de Charme is located in a producing wine, cheese and olive oil farm. This is small family hotel with great pool and very good vine and food. If you need anything more for breakfast, they serve you. Staff is also great. On our trip over Portugal we have stayed in five 4 star hotels (mostly small like this) and this was the best.

Casas da Lapa is a modern hotel ideally situated on a hill top, inside the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela. It is located within a typical mountain village, Lapa dos Dinheiros. The location had beautiful views. The staff were so friendly and very accommodating and the food was amazing. The room and facilities were great and very clean.

Staff and Service. Top notch where nothing is too much trouble. Everyone has a smile and the overall vibe is delightful. There was an issue with WiFi in my room and it was responded to quickly and effectively. Food. Absolutely wonderful. The dinner menu at 40 Euros is a bargain... apertif, amuse boche, breads, starter, soup, main, dessert, and coffee. The food is well prepared and the portions are ample. I note the size of portions is much better than a previous stay seven years ago. Room. I stayed in the suite and love its ambience. Snacks. From 4 PM to 6 PM there is a selection of snacks... sweet and savory. They are diverse and change every day.

Located in Lajeosa do Mondego, municipality of Celorico da Beira – the Serra Cheese capital – Casas do Durão-Memories House is set at the base of the Estrela Ridge and offers a tranquil stay. A magical place with the family history that is around on the walls through pictures and family tools. The house housed a museum containing antique items that have been useful for the past 200 years. The hospitality was warm and generous and the generous breakfast with the beautiful dishes was a celebration.
